Women wore mainly dresses and skirts during this time. These skirts and dresses were made out of elaborate and spontaneous patterns that had a lot of colors. Teenagers wore pleated, neat skirts with some sort of matching shirt. Usually a three-quarter sleeve, tight neck polos, or a cardigan with a shirt under it. Grown women (who were mostly housewives) wore patterned dresses around the house. Many women and girls wore their hair up in sorts of buns and ponytails. When women went out of the house to parties or some sort of formal occasion, they wore evening gowns and fancier dresses depending on the occasion. Cosmetics began popular around this time so women wore make-up almost everyday to look presentable. Sleeve and shirt lengths were shorter than they had been before, but not by much. Fashion was starting up during this time so women had a lot to wear. Clothing manufacturing became cheaper, and so did the prices of the clothing.
